Waggoners is an off-grid, environmentally-conscious campsite nestled in the stunning Surrey Hills, near Farnham and Guildford. Our pitches lie in a peaceful grassy field surrounded by wild woodlands, offering guests a tranquil escape close to nature.
The site is part of Hampton Estate, a rural, family-run estate dedicated to stewardship and environmental protection. Alongside rearing 100% pasture-fed beef, growing hops for beer, and planting numerous trees, we’ve designed our campsite to reflect our deep commitment to sustainability.
All the structures at Waggoners, including our newly built fully enclosed shower cubicles, were crafted by our forestry team using wood from our own estate. Waste from our compostable off-grid loos is recycled as fertiliser. Thanks to our extensive tree planting, we absorb more carbon than we emit as a business. We strive to recycle and reuse wherever possible so that Waggoners remains a conscious campsite with zero environmental footprint, providing a calm, nature-focused experience for all who visit. Please have a read of our Waggoners Code to understand more about how we run our campsite.
Waggoners Campsite Groups Policy
Waggoners is a peaceful, nature-focused campsite designed to offer a calm and relaxing experience for all our guests. To maintain this atmosphere, we kindly discourage large groups and parties. We do not allow any groups of more than 18 people. If you are planning to visit as a group, please keep your numbers small and be aware that you will be expected to be especially courteous to other campers. This means keeping noise to a minimum, respecting quiet hours, and ensuring your group does not impact the peaceful enjoyment of the site or the surrounding natural environment. Large gatherings or rowdy behaviour are not suitable for Waggoners and may result in your group being asked to leave. Thank you for helping us preserve the calm, welcoming spirit of Waggoners for everyone to enjoy.

Campsite Reviews
“Really cool and clean eco campsite. Huge pitches and loads of space and amazing tranquil location.”
“Outstanding. This is easily the best campsite we have ever been to. There is so much beautiful space. Fire pits and wood available. Staff cannot do enough for you. Low impact environmentally. It’s perfect.”
“A fabulous, quiet, eco friendly campsite surrounded by beautiful woodland. My son and his friend enjoyed making the evening fire (with the logs and pit supplied by the site manager). He was extremely welcoming and provided excellent information about the site and local area. I would highly recommend staying at Waggons and intend to return next year!”
“Brilliant…..hope it returns next year for longer!”
“Beautiful pitch in a well organised, simple and scenic spot with plenty to see and do. The host was brilliant and looked after us really well. Loved the fire pit.”
“Lovely, spacious campsite with beautifully clean facilities. Eco showers and compost toilets – very eco-friendly 🙂 Soft ground meant that pitching the tent was very easy. We had good communication with the campsite manager, who was always friendly and helpful but felt free to explore and do our own thing. Beautiful tearooms walking distance in Seale -10/10 recommend checking them out if you stay here. Would definitely recommend.”
“Fantastic location and facilities, easy to book and check in. Friendly and helpful staff, local knowledge and recommendations, on North Downs way and close to local village. Value for money, felt very safe. No Wifi but good phone reception.”
“The best thing I can say is that the campsite is EXACTLY as advertised. Trust what they say about themselves. The showers are strong, the compostable toilets are kept clean, the staff are friendly, the pitches are large, the location is BEAUTIFUL. The campsite is about ten minutes walk from Puttenham Common which is full of lovely places to stroll. I would absolutely commend the owners for their wonderful work on this site and I hope it will be around for many years to come. Would most recommend for anybody hiking the North Downs Way between Farnham and Guildford, willing to carry a tent on their back, or any groups with a car and the desire to spread out.”
“5* campsite. I loved it! Needs to be open all year round!”
