*** FIREPIT & BBQ BAN: Due to prolonged dry weather, ALL firepits & BBQs are prohibited until further notice. This decision will be reviewed weekly and lifted once deemed to be safe to do so. We are sorry for the disappointment but we must protect our beautiful site and surrounding woodland. Gas stoves, cookers & grills are permitted. We are hopeful this may change in September – this message will be updated when we can lift this restriction. ***

Waggoners is an off-grid, environmentally-conscious campsite nestled in the stunning Surrey Hills, between Farnham and Guildford. A peaceful, grassy field surrounded by wild woodlands, offering a tranquil escape close to nature. We are open Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights plus bank holiday Mondays. Tents, roof tents & small off-grid campervans are welcome.

We like nature. We like birdsong. We like green spaces. Our campers do too. We deliberately keep our numbers low to ensure our guests have plenty of personal space and peace even when we’re full. We want our campers to have a fun, happy time but if for you that means a noisy group, boozy games, loud music or late night chats, we’re probably not the best fit for you. To understand the vibe of our campsite and the behaviour we expect please read the Waggoners Code.

The site is part of Hampton Estate, a rural, family-run estate dedicated to stewardship and environmental protection. Alongside rearing 100% pasture-fed beef, growing hops for beer, and planting numerous trees, we’ve designed our campsite to reflect our deep commitment to sustainability.

Many of the structures at Waggoners were crafted by our forestry team using wood from our own estate. The waste from our compost loos is recycled as fertiliser. Thanks to our extensive tree planting, we absorb more carbon than we emit as a business. We strive to recycle and reuse wherever possible so that Waggoners remains a conscious campsite with zero environmental footprint, providing a calm, nature-focused experience for all who visit.

Waggoners Campsite Group Policy

Waggoners is a peaceful, nature-focused campsite designed to offer a calm and relaxing experience for all our guests. To maintain this atmosphere, we kindly discourage large groups and parties. We do not allow any groups of more than 18 people, nor hen or stag parties. If you are planning to visit as a group, please keep your numbers small and be aware that you will be expected to be especially courteous to other campers. This means keeping noise to a minimum, respecting quiet hours, and ensuring your group does not impact the peaceful enjoyment of the site or the surrounding natural environment. Large gatherings or rowdy behaviour are not suitable for Waggoners and may result in your group being asked to leave. Thank you for helping us preserve the calm, welcoming spirit of Waggoners for everyone to enjoy.
